IN THE DIRT with DOUG - APPROACHING HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Believe it or not  -  IT’S TIME TO DECK THE HALLS!!  And, we have gone all out with all our holiday décor this year.  The store looks fantastic – better than ever!!  The way customers are already reacting to our holiday merchandise we are now an established destination point with gifts for the home and garden.
What better way to start your planning for the upcoming holidays than to mark your calendar for two of our very popular holiday events:
  • Our 7th Annual     LADIES NIGHT OUT   -  This year the theme is “INTO THE SPIRIT”.  This event will be Friday evening, November 18, from 5:00 to 8:00.  Ladies Night Out has become a pre-holiday highlight for ladies (and men are invited to join us as well – PLEASE!!) to escape into a night of shopping and fun.  The evening includes great sales on holiday and home décor, live music, door prizes, wine tasting, and many great vendors.  A catered event with great food and snacks.  Santa will be making his first appearance.  So, spread the work and bring a friend.  It is FREE ADMISSION!!  We are asking for support to the CENTRAL VIRGINIA FOOD BANK.  With a $5.00 donation, you will be given a coupon for a complimentary glass of wine from Grayhaven Winery.
  • Our 18th Annual    HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE  -  This event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, November 19 & 20.  Saturday has been tagged RICHMOND SYMPHONY DAY.  Members of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra League will be here.  The League will provide a bake sale, the petting zoo with instruments, and music with some members of the youth orchestra.  Last year the bake sale was very popular.  The Great Big Greenhouse and Meadows Farms Nursery is very proud to announce our support to the Richmond Symphony by donating 10% of sales.

Santa will be here on Saturday, November 19 from 10 to 2 and on Sunday, November 20 from 12 to 4.  In addition, Santa plans to be here for photos the first two weekends in December.
Oh!  And, our 1st shipment of freshly cut Christmas trees, wreaths, swags, and garlands will be here the week of November 14.  Our very popular 6’/8’ cut Frasier Fir will be only $34.99.  This size was gorgeous last year and the best price in the Richmond area.
Our poinsettias will be here in various sizes and varieties to provide glorious colors for Holiday cheer.
So, come out and see for yourself why we are Richmond’s best garden center for all your Holiday needs.
