Drought tolerant Plants for Virginia

Drought tolerant plants are ones that will withstand drought conditions with little or no supplemental watering in Virginia When selecting plants, the period of establishment in the landscape, plant location, and soil type should be considered.  Drought tolerant plants will tolerate dry soil with very little moisture and still flourish.  The list below are plants that have been shown to be drought resistant in Virginia.
